AITA for editing pictures of my daughter with my late grandpa?

I have a 4 y/o daughter who got to meet my grandpa and they were in love with each other. Unfortunately, he passed away last year. I had another daughter after he passed away, and it hurts me that my youngest daughter will never have that connection the way my 4 year old did. So, I edited a couple of pictures of my youngest daughter into pictures I had of my grandpa. I sent them to my family group chat and everyone hated them. My mom and brother told my grandma that they were creepy and odd, my aunt said that those pictures were moments in time and that it felt uncomfortable seeing them altered, and the rest of my family completely ignored the messages in full. So AITA for making edits that were apparently inappropriate?
