So here is some information. I'm 21F and my fiancé is 33M. My friend, let's call her Amelia (not her actual name), is 21F.
Me and my fiancé started dating 3 years ago after I jad just started college. We met at a restaurant through a mutual friend. We hit it off well and started to date 2 months later. I've been completely in love since, so has he.
Recently he proposed and I said yes. I've been planning the wedding for a few months, its going to be small, just his family, friends, and some of my friends. My fiancé told me not to invite my family since the venue is so small. But that's going off topic.
I asked my best friend, Amelia, to be my MOH 2 weeks ago. She has been disapproving of my relationship with my fiancé since the start. I chalked it up to her just being annoyed I was spending most of my time with him. Now she brings up the idea of breaking up with him every time we get together.
She said yes to being my MOH and I was so overjoyed! I went over to her house 3 days ago to let her look at MOH dresses I picked out. While I was there, she brought up breaking up with him again. I was very upset and asked her why she hated him so much. She said that she thinks he's a predator and groomer for dating me when I was so young.
I was really surprised by this. She never gave this reasoning before. She always said it was just because she didn't like his "vibe" and I believed her.
I'll admit, I got really upset and offended by what she said and we did get in a fight. A lot of not so nice things were said and before I left I told her she's uninvited from the wedding.
I told my fiancé about what happened and he comforted me and assured me our wedding would be perfect.
I've started to get calls and texts from my other friends asking to invite Amelia back and apologize, but I don't think it's fair that I have to apologize to her. She's the one who accused my fiancé of being a predator and a groomer. When I told my friends this, they called me an AH and told me that they won't attend the wedding if I'm willing to uninvite Amelia over a small argument.
So, AITA for uninviting my best friend from my wedding for calling my fiancé a predator?
