AITA if I don’t wanna go home?

So aita, my wife and I live in Virginia but we both have family in Georgia. And she has been planning to surprise her mom on her birthday. And so she took a Friday off from work so she could drive down for the weekend without me because I was working. However my work decided to let everyone get a Friday off. Aita if I don’t tell my wife so I don’t have to go? Or don’t have to make her upset that I didn’t want to go?
