AITA for telling my sister I prefer longer hair on my nephew?

Hello everyone.

I’m really confused so I try to ask you all if it’s me the ah or not.

I [37f] live far away from my parents and sis [41f]; I usually don’t talk to her very much because it seems to me that she became upset very easily and I don’t like drama.

Yesterday she sent me a pic of my nephew [4m] with a game I bought him some time ago, a storyteller.

I have to translate the chat we had because it’s not in English, since its not our first language.

She:

“yesterday we cut the hairs. And today we get back your present. Now he listens to the stories and also takes notes”

Me:

“what a clever boy!”

“But I’d like more the longer hair (laughing emoticon)”

She:

“the eyes were covered and he was sweating too much”

“how to make others feel bad”

Me:

“I can imagine that”

“?”

She:

“Well you did a no-compliment to me on the choice of cut”

Me:

“I expressed a preference, if you want in the future I will avoid”

She:

“Maybe the positive ones should be expressed, instead of only expressing negative things”

“I too would have something to say about haircuts, but not to hurt anyone, I'm keeping quiet”

Me:

“I'll be more careful”

Then I told her I needed to quit for going dinner.

For some context: I barely talk with her and I’m usually very careful not saying something that can hurts her, so its not like I always told her negative opinions.

Btw, I’m the only one in the family with a non traditional haircut and she is obviously talking about me and my hairs.

Not so important because I’m not sensitive anymore about that, but I was badly bullied during school time because of my haircut but I don’t know if she remembers it.

So, AITA for telling her I prefer longer hair on her son?

Tl;dr: told my sister that I prefer her son with longer hair, she became upset.
