I (18f) live with my mom (43f) and stepdad(45m) as I just turned 18 a little bit ago.
Since he moved in with us about 2 years ago, my mom gets upset when I wear things like tank tops and dresses that are slightly lower cut around the house.
If I am fully honest I only wear those when I am going to sleep since I am a pretty big bodied woman and move around in my sleep alot. Yet there has been times where my mom makes comments, suggesting that I look like a whore.
My mom is not a good mom, many cps cases and many run aways in my case but I still love her and respect her, I'm just concerned about why I have to cover up when I sleep.
Just so everyone has a full idea of the situation, I sleep in the living room since I have horrible asthma and our house is infested with mice, I have woken up with a mouse staring into my eyes at 3 am and other times to them crawling on me when I sleep in my room. (She says she will get me a new bed but it has been a little over a year.)
I don't understand why I have to cover up, and honestly it makes me really worried. Why do I have to cover up infront of someone who I should feel safe around? I have known him for a long time but it's scary because I keep jumping to conclusions about it.
