**Package returned to sender by USPS, it's my address but a stranger's name**
The mail man handed me a small USPS box that was returned to sender with my address but a stranger's name on it. It has over $10 in postage on it. I am kind of confused and thinking about opening it. Why the hell would someone put my address as the return address? I thought it was an old package they just found but it has a recent date on it. Thoughts?

Relevant comment:
Maybe the return address is off by a digit. Perhaps, do an online search of the name to see if it's a neighbor of yours. Another idea is that the package contains something illegal like drugs. Something the sender doesn't want coming back to them in case USPS detected the contents as being illegal.
Comments by OOP:
I tried to do an online search but found nothing. Thinking about where I live and the fact that I found drugs and pipe in my yard, it very well could be drugs. Possibly... I will probably open it
The package was sent from a major city near by and was destined for what looks like a business address, particularly to a Staples in PA. It is weird that the tracking barcode sticker on the box is marked 2013. I could not pull up anything via google search on the location and names.
I will for sure follow up if I open it. Definitely leaning that way.

**Update on mystery package: package returned to sender by USPS with my address but someone else's name on it**
It was double vacuum sealed weed with some concentrate. It also had some temporary tattoos!

Yeah uhh.. are you sure they're temporary tattoos?
Be careful with the “tattoos” that might not be.
In the comments OOP said:
I doubt these Halloween tattoos are much to be worried about with their packaging. I threw them out anyway
