AITA for reporting a coworker who ate my food?

As many of you know it’s currently the holy month of Ramadan. As a Muslim I’m currently fasting during the day.

My whole team is very aware of this.

We have been really busy at work this month, usually finishing well after sunset. So for the last week I’ve made sure that I have a simple dinner in the office fridge or I’m ordering food close enough to sunset that I have something to break my fast with.

One of my coworkers Nicole has had a running “joke” for years that whatever I cook is always delicious or that I’m really good at ordering the best option on a menu. I occasionally share a little of my food with her but it’s always with permission.

Anyway I made myself a pasta bake and left it in the fridge. When sunset came and I went looking for it I couldn’t find my tub. I eventually found it cleaned out and washed by the sink.

I came to find out that Nicole “just wanted a taste and couldn’t control [herself] until it was all gone!” I was irritated but she blew me off and said oh I’ll just order you something. It took more than an hour to arrive, by which time work was done and I was getting ready to head to the mosque for prayers. I basically had 2 dates and a oat bar I found in my desk.

The next day I explained to her how I felt that she was out of order and she literally laughed in my face and said she’d fixed any issue by ordering my meal and it wasn’t her fault I left before it arrived. She also said that it’s my fault for tempting her by being a good cook(??)

So I reported her to HR. She got reprimanded but now her ‘friends’ in the office are being weird to me including purposefully walking past my desk at lunch break and showing that they’re eating.

Did I mess up by reporting her?
